Liturgical prayer and prayer life is at the centre of each day, at St. Clare’s..
Each week, we have a whole school liturgical prayer, with our headteacher, Mrs Eddies. Later in the week, we have Prayer/ Liturgical Prayer time within our key stages, whereby different teachers and classes take turns to minister. Each class shares moments of prayer, each week; ministered by a group of children.
Monday-Whole School Collective worship
Tuesday-Class Collective worship
Wednesday-KS1/EYFS Collective worship
Thursday-KS2 Collective worship
Friday-Class
We also have a bright and vibrant prayer life at St. Clare’s using traditional and contemporary ways to pray.

The National Schools Singing programme (NSSP) also further enhances our liturgical music across the school and we have an excited and committed choir, led by Mrs Stewart our music lead. Mr Maxson, who is the director of music at St Mary’s cathedral, teaches our KS2 children each week.

Each child also has an individual Prayer Journal, to spend time with God, sharing their own precious moments in his presence…
Our link governor for liturgical prayer is Mrs Price, who comes into school regularly to observe and join in. We enjoy praying with other school governors too.
